The damage after the damage
Fire damage is three problems: charred structure, soot that's acidic enough to etch glass and corrode metal within hours, and smoke odor driven deep into porous materials by heat. Then comes the water damage from firefighting β thousands of gallons that need extraction and drying before mold joins the party. Most fire jobs are really fire + water + odor jobs, which is why one crew handling all three matters.
Board-up first, then remediate
Our 24/7 response starts with emergency board-up and roof tarping to secure the property β required by most insurers and the difference between a restoration and a looting/vandalism loss on top. Then: soot removal with specialized chem sponges and HEPA vacuuming (water on soot makes it worse β technique matters), thermal fogging and hydroxyl/ozone treatment for odor, water extraction and drying, and reconstruction of what can't be saved.
What about belongings?
We inventory, pack out and clean salvageable contents off-site β including ultrasonic cleaning for smoke-damaged items and specialized electronics restoration. What can't be saved is documented line-by-line for your contents claim.
